WORSHIP
Welcome to Denbigh United Presbyterian Church.
We are glad you are here.
Worship | 10:30 a.m.
Sunday School | 9:15 a.m.
FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN OF ALL AGES
We gather both in person and virtually each week to pause and turn our attention to God with the hopeful expectation of encountering God’s holy presence. We sing and pray. We give voice to what God is doing in our lives and in the world. We respond to God as we feel led.
On the first Sunday of each month, we share communion as a reminder of the depth of Jesus’ love for humanity.

We also share in a variety of special services throughout the year.
All Are Welcome
People all ages are welcome in worship. We enjoy children in worship and offer a special time for them during the service. Families may also utilize our nursery for infants and children 4 years old and younger.
Communion
At Denbigh United and in the Presbyterian Church, we see communion as a twofold opportunity: to remember Jesus' final meal with his disciples before his crucifixion, including what he taught that night; and, in the spirit of that meal and sacrifice, to affirm our togetherness with God and one another in the present. Anyone who feels led by the Holy Spirit to participate in that is welcome to join in the meal. We pray it will bring you closer to both God and neighbor.
Special Services
AND SEASONAL CELEBRATIONS
In addition to our weekly Sunday morning worship services, we offer other special services throughout the year.

BLUE CHRISTMAS
The Blue Christmas Service takes place in December and provides a safe place for those who are struggling with loss during the holiday season.
CHRISTMAS EVE
Christmas Eve features two candlelight communion services. The earlier of the two services provides opportunities for children to participate in leading a portion of the worship service. Both services include beautiful music and the wonder of celebrating Christ's birth.

ASH WEDNESDAY
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent. This service features the invitation to receive ashes in the sign of the cross on one's forehead -- an ancient symbol of repentance and forgiveness.

MAUNDY THURSDAY
Maundy Thursday beckons us to remember the night on which Jesus shared the Last Supper with his disciples, washed their feet, and reminded them of the heart of the Gospel: love one another. We share communion and remember the events of this holy night.

GOOD FRIDAY
Good Friday's service is a somber remembrance of the crucifixion and death of Jesus, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. This service includes a series of readings from the gospels.

EASTER
The Easter Sunrise Service takes place outdoors on our church lawn and allows us to imagine that first Easter morning when Christ's followers discovered the empty tomb. After this service, we gather together for breakfast.
Our Easter Sunday proclaims for all to hear: "The Lord is risen! He is risen indeed!" With triumphant music and a joyful celebration of the Lord's Supper, we rejoice in the glorious resurrection of Jesus and our new life in him.
