GIVE

We celebrate that God is the source of all gifts – this is the foundation of what we call ‘stewardship.’ We believe that God has blessed us with resources of time, talent, and money and that we have a responsibility to use these gifts to further the work of God in the world. At Denbigh United, giving financially in support of our mission is an important way to make God’s love visible in our church, our community, and the world.

Ways to Give

OFFERING PLATE

At Denbigh United, giving is an act of worship and you are welcome to give in the offering plate on Sundays and other special worship services.

ONLINE GIVING

Give safely and quickly online using the “Make a Gift” button below. Here you can easily set up and manage recurring giving.

MAIL

Gifts are always welcome by mail: 302 Denbigh Blvd

STOCKS

Donating stocks to the church allows an individual to make a financial contribution to the life of the church without incurring the capital gains taxes typically involved in selling investment holdings. This can be a financial benefit to both the donor and the church. Your broker should transfer the shares to the Newport News office of Morgan Stanley with the following instructions:

Name:  Denbigh United Presbyterian Church

Acct Number:  670-108819

DTC#: 0015

Contact: Ned Spencer at 757-873-3300

LEGACY PLANNING

If you would like to make Denbigh United Presbyterian a part of your estate planning through a will, trust, and more, that would be a welcome blessing for the long-term financial health of the church. Contact [insert name or office here] for more information.

QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTION (QCD)

For individuals 70 1/2 or over who have an IRA, you can direct the IRA’s administrator to transfer funds to the church. This allows the individual to avoid paying taxes on funds that would have otherwise been required to be pulled from the IRA and counted as income.

PLEDGE CARD

Making a pledge is an informal commitment to contribute financially in the coming year. Stewardship is a year-round practice, but each autumn we ask members and friends of Denbigh United to consider a financial pledge to be shared with the church in the following calendar year. Because pledges help make the whole life of the church possible, making a financial pledge is also a spiritual commitment to share in the mission and ministry of Denbigh United Presbyterian Church.
