Important News and Opportunities to Give
Dear Church Family,
I am writing to share some important information with you.
First, starting on Palm Sunday, March 28, we will welcome up to 50 worshipers to our in-person service. Registration is required through the links here on our church’s website. All current safety protocols will continue: masks, social distancing, no congregational singing, etc. The Adult I Sunday School class will also resume on April 4 at 9:00 a.m. in the Conference Room.
Second, on Easter Sunday, April 4, we will have an outdoor sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. that is in-person only and a service at 10:30 a.m. for up to 50 people in the sanctuary that will also be live streamed. If we reach our 50 person limit for the sanctuary, we will open up a new sign-up list for worshipers to be in Second Hall and worship with others there. Again, it is important for everyone who wants to worship in person to sign up ahead of time.
Third, as we are poised to return to more church ministries and activities in our building and to revitalize DUPC for life after the pandemic, we have two major projects in the works: a new outdoor digital sign and handicapped accessible doors. Both of these projects have been part of our long-range plan for DUPC and we are ready to move forward. It is our hope that the new sign will allow us to communicate and interact with the Denbigh community more effectively; it is also our hope that automated doors at one or more entrances to the church will allow our entire community to access the church more easily and feel more fully welcomed and included in God’s house. If you would like to contribute to either project, please designate your gift either “Digital Sign” or “Accessible Doors.” Thank you for considering a gift to these important projects.
We have exciting days ahead.
In Christ’s Service,
Your Pastors, Deborah and Boone
