March has come to a close and spring has sprung! We celebrated Dr. Seuss by reading many of his stories during the month. The three-year-old children created kites to fly and worked together on a project with whisks to help give birds some materials to make their nests. The four-year-old children had lots of fun creating a trap to try and catch the tricky little leprechaun. He did visit the classroom and made a mess but wasn’t fooled into getting caught. The four-year-olds are on their way to being prepared for kindergarten. They are doing lots of writing, problem solving, and listening for rhyming words.
We have exciting activities to look forward to in April. We will enjoy our annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 1. Hopefully, the Easter Bunny will not try to fool us. When we return from our spring break we will celebrate the Week of the Young Child beginning April 13. The Week of the Young Child, sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Our week will include special dress-up days and our infamous Crazy Hat Parade. If you’d like to come watch us parade around in our silly hats, complete an obstacle course, and sing some fun songs, please join us on Thursday, April 15, at 12 noon in the parking lot, weather permitting. Please remember to practice social distancing to help keep everyone safe. The week is sure to be a lot of fun celebrating our wonderful children!
Registration for the 2021-2022 school year is well underway. We will have a three-year-old program and a four-year-old program. Our registration form can be downloaded from the church website here . Please pass the word so others can experience our wonderful preschool. Thank you very much for your continued support and prayers for our preschool. The staff and I send our thoughts and prayers to all of you and hope you have a very blessed Easter season!
