Birthday Car Parades
It all started with a request from the daughter of one of our church members who was having a birthday. The family member lived too far away to come for a visit and there were the COVID-19 travel restrictions, as well. She had heard about “Car Parades” in her area and wondered if we could do one for her mom.
The idea has caught on in a big way! We drive by homes and honk the horns to celebrate or do the parade at the church. It’s lots of fun. Thank you to Jane Martin for coordinating the car parades.
Pictured below are two of our recent birthday ladies: Trudy Bowman who turned 97 and Eileen Williams who turned 100.
